I really like the style and the simplicity of this! really nice touch to add in the text if you can't move in any direction. My only real critique would be to add in the ability to hit "R" to restart, as everything else is done with the keyboard so it would make it a bit more fluid to retry a level. But that's a pretty minor detail that I also didn't add in, so well done!
