I like the core of the game. It feels great to shift phase just as you crash into an enemy. The longer you wait, the more "mana" you save, but you also increase the risk of getting hit. I just wish that the whole snake could take damage. The head is tightly controlled, but since the body is a bit behind it could make for an interesting challenge. I don't really get why I am a snake if I don't have any snake-like qualities. And it would also be cool with more enemies from the start! You spend a while waiting for the first few enemies to arrive.

the fact that only the snakes head can take damage was actually a design decision, I wanted to have a bunch of enemies and explosions all around, and having the player take damage from the whole body was frustrating. 

having a snake bullet hell game is a neat idea though, maybe I will explore it in the future (:
