That's... Your first jam ? Damn, now I'm jealous x).
This was an incredible and very polished game ! The concept is the perfect example of "easy to learn, hard to master", the puzzles were creative and the difficulty curve was very well calculated !
I have only have 3 little complains about the game, but nothing major :
- Sometimes, my character didn't jump, even if the jump sound played. That was rare, but very frustrating xD.
- Since it's a puzzle platformer, I would have loved to have a bit of time to think and plan my moves before starting the level. Just pausing the game before each level would be enough. A lot of my attempts were basically "trial and error" because of that. Sometimes, I even let my character die 5/6 times just to be able to think about the level.
- Hidden information in a puzzle game is, in my opinion, bad ^^'. For me, a puzzle game is a game where the player has all the information he needs to complete the game, and it's his own ability to put the pieces together that counts. The fact that some blocks were hidden behind other blocks ruined a bit my thinking process, because I had to do some "trial and errors" runs to gather all the information I needed. I would have liked it more to be able to see all the blocks, small ones appearing in front of the bigger ones instead of behind.
That was a pretty long text, but keep in mind that these are still minor point : your game is very, very solid and definitevely on my favourite games list ! Congratulations, you can be proud =) !
