All of the elements fit amazingly well with one other. The character designs are exceptionally flavorful and expressive. The environmental art is detailed, stylish and makes excellent use of color. The music sets the mood for every scene really well and has a good bit of whimsy to it to match the art. It's all brought together by the dialogue oriented writing, which has both bounce and emotional depth. Even for a team of two, this game has a *lot* of quality content in it for a month long jam.
Really like the smaller touches, like the use of fonts to boost the visual language of the text and the animated transitions. Objects and events showing up on screen when they're mentioned works really well to build a complete and nuanced world. Every design decision feels deliberate, but it's all done with an uninstructive lightness that would make casual players never even notice that it's there.
I usually like to leave some suggestions for potential improvements when I comment, but everything feels very polished and whole. The only thing I can think of is that the house theme has some notes in it that are a little too jarring for my ears.
A very well polished presentation. Even the missing content has stand-ins to cover up for it! Love the story and I would of course love to see it continued! Absolutely wonderful game!
Edit: I played again with speakers and the harsh house theme notes were barely even noticeable, so it might just be an issue if you're using headphones.
