Very nice, Good Job on getting that into <64kb.

The Eye in the Sky gives a real ominous feeling to it all, works beautifully with the simple Textures on those Cubes, really had my fantasy going wild thinking up possible Lore reasons for me shooting the Orbs.

I would have liked a more varied leveldesign instead of constantly generating 1 Cube wide Pillars in vision Range, if you'd just create them out of the Fogfloor and not floating, and gave them Varying widths, I'd envision myself in some kind of Skyline facing off against cosmic horror Aliens or something, but thats not really needed to have Fun.

Had a Problem with the Pink Fog, when flying beneath it, it obstructs the whole Screen with a opaque Pink, making it next to impossible to find your way back out again, should either not be possible to go below, only tint the Screen instead of being Opaque then, or kill the Player or something probably.

If this had the above mentioned Things, some mainmenu/gameover/victory condition, a bit of enemy variety, and some of them also flying around shooting, insted of only explosive orbs, and a retro high octane Soundtrack, this would be a really really impressive Submission.

Keep in mind, I think its still great regardless of that tho.

But the Rings shot by the Orbs seemed to not extend smoothly, I don't think its an issue with framerate, as everything else felt super smooth, so maybe its intended? Just felt odd a little.

Thank you very much for playing and for the comment. Yeah there were really a lot of things that I left unfinished and that could have added a lot to the game, but when the jam started I was feeling like I spent a lot more time on this than I should have and I wanted to go back to my other project. I might return to it someday though, especially for improving graphics and shaders because that's always fun.

In my mind the pink fog was supposed to be an ocean, since I was doing everything by raytracing I thought it'd be fun to try out some stuff like wavy reflections, refractions and a underwater effect when going inside it. But all those things ended up being pretty time consuming to write and to debug, especially with the very basic openGL setup I was using because of the size limit, so I couldn't get any of that done in time. Making it a fog might have been easier to do now that you mention it though.

I agree that the rings suck in general, I thought they'd work okay as an enemy projectiles but as soon as I put them in I realized that dodging them with the ship was going to be pretty unintuitive and annoying with the 3rd person plane camera, so I just gave up on them and left them the way they were until the end, lol. I probably need to play some plane/spaceship games like Underspace to figure out how to make dodging fun from this perspective.

It was certainly Fun flying around as your little Triangle, I really enjoyed the flying Part. If anything it just needs more "polish", like soundeffects, particles, those kind of things, and ofcourse some enemies. But the flying itself was super Fun.
