Hey guys. I appreciate the scope of your game :) Open world exploration in a 2 day jam, really? I see the Turkish ambition there, only because I have it too. Well, I successfully delivered the holy salad.
I loved the graphics and the level design. Characters are super cute, lol the walk animation :) I also appreciate the SHIFT button for zooming into the butt, wasn't expecting that ^^
They don't really take away the fun but I'll list a few things that bothered me;
- I hate Unreal's approach in this but yeah the UI problems are real. Game didn't start with a cursor for me and I had to Alt+Tab twice to show the cursor. I guess you need to pay attention to PlayerController->SetInputModeGameAndUI. This happened during dialogs and crafting too. I had to press TAB several times to close the SALAD crafting menu.
- Colliders around the crafting bench were annoying I couldn't get to it for the longest time.
- Because you don't have a map, it was really difficult to find the way back to the crafting bench or to the salad NPC. Either have a map or place a beam that comes from the sky or something so we don't lose time. People want to play your game for 10 mins and move on to other jam games. They usually don't play your game for 30 mins.
- I assume trees don't have collision for optimization purposes? :P
- One last thing. I think 500 MBs is too much for this game. And at the very end, I realized you packaged the game in "Development" rather than "Shipping". Maybe that made the game size huge.
And that's why you had the "LIGHTING NEEDS TO BE REBUILT" at the end.
Thanks a lot for the game. And keep up the good work! <3
