Very fun submission.

The game, although could use some polish as far as aesthetics go, feels very complete for a game jam. There is a lot that I feel like I can explore which is really awesome for a Metroidvania. I like the sound design of the game very much as well.

I really appreciate a good checkpoint system so I thank you for that as well!

Thanks for giving my entry a go !

Yeah i've kind set myself a goal since a few jams back to have at least a game even if short, that would have some kind of reachable ending (like at least a boss or something along those lines when possible) but only so much i could do in time :p

Glad you liked the sound design XD i always try to work on sfx and post proces them at least a little to have them hopefully not sound like just stock blips and bloops that wouldn't fit to the gamebut still keep them retro.

And since i couldn't manage to wrap my head around having a save system for all the elements it should keep track of, i figured that for the jam i should have at least have deaths not be too punishing, so i ended up with this compromise of as long as you don't quit, you go back to the last door you reached and you keep all you collected, so not ideal, but i'm happy to see people seem to like it :)
