Glad I stuck this one out. I was able to play on my QWERTY keyboard (albeit it slightly awkwardly). I think the keyboard mapping issue you describe could be considered a "game breaking bug" and you might have been allowed to re-upload?

In any case, some of the animation and effects are really nice. Oh and the music, is spot on! :) As you mentioned, you ran out of time -- missing things like a game over screen, progress bar maybe(?), ability to pause, re-map controls etc. all would be nice, but I think the core is a really good start. Good luck with continuing to develop!

Hey, thanks a lot for sticking through and trying out the game :) Also thanks for the kind words !

As I have an AZERTY keyboard myself, most game I play aren't adapted to my keyboard type either, it's just that the reverse isn't common but I don't think it's really gamebreaking. Just modify your keyboard to AZERTY for the duration of the game :)

Tbf we should've added options for control, a menu, etc. Those things were next in line, if we had an extra day they would be there. We intentionally focused on having the best core gameplay possible, not really on having a complete game. Clearly this was to our detriment as lacking basic features really makes the game harder to play and hurts how well we can communicate the mechanics. We'll do things differently for our next game jam !
