In addition to not showing jams that last a very long time to prevent clogging up the calendar, we also have basic quality guidelines about jams before they can be listed.

If I’m looking at the jam you’re referring to, then it does not meet our quality guidelines. A jam page that is just an image with absolutely no other information is not suitable for our calendar. You’re welcome to share it with your own audience though.

Thanks

My game jam does have a full description.  But, for some reason, it does not display.  It this because it has not started yet?  Here is all the details, you can see it here:  https://itch.io/jam/314176/edit

Also, I think I did mark it as visible.  Does this help?  Thank you.

DOH!  I have to remember that the edit page can only be accessed if I am logged in.  However,  I DID include all of the details about my jam.  But for some reason it is not being displayed.  Again, it it because it has not started yet?  Would you like a screenshot of the game jam with all of the details.  Thank you.

As described in the submission details section, that information is only shown to someone who is in the act of submitting their game. I recommend looking at the preview of the jam’s page to see what a visitor to the page would see.

Edit: I also want to add, jams that are effectively “Please make this very specific game for me” are not appropriate candidates for being promoted on our jam calendar. As always, you’re welcome to advertise your jam to your own audience.
