This is such an interesting piece in that most of the chords that you use are not inherently dissonant. The substitution of minor chords for major chords when our brain tells us that they are not in the right order according to "classic functional harmony" is what you are using to your advantage to make it sound more evil and foreboding. Now the relationship of the chords to one another also adds significant dissonance that you connect well with the trumpet melody in the repeat.
