Okaaaay! Took me a bit more than 3 hours and a "bug-fix" ;) but it was worth all the time!
This is such an homage to the classics. I just love it!
When I first saw the many fields in the inventory i though: hmm, well, someone had planned for a lot of items there... And then they came ^^. And they came not only with different stats, getting better and better, no. They also came with decisions! Shall I rather skill my mana? Or is attack and defense more valuable? Or rather my Health? Even super rare items can be found. Great job here!
But not enough. A certain guy suddenly offers you magic spells! And to cast them you need to find things and there are side quests and hidden rooms and multiple different dungeons and objects can be clicked to find items and hidden buttons, and and and
Considering the effort we took in making our game: Simply Wow!
Thinking about all the images and system in place I have soo many questions ^^, starting with: Who draw those trees and stones and why is that palette looking so great, and how many hours did that take in sum? I fear it took less than I think :). Fighting is "straight forward". I mean it! Enemy in front of you: click button, hope you don't miss. A known mechanic done well.
Oh! And not to forget the sound! The music is super fitting and I love the muffled voice acting sounding like I'm back in the days of Might and Magic.
So, now let me look really deep to find something to criticize! ^^
Okay, there was this last "bug" of course, concerning a certain gate ;)
But honestly, I cannot come up with something bad. I would have said, there are a few types of enemies, but that never felt odd or to few. Plus it fits the story.
Well, I wouldn't have invested 3+ hours if I wouldn't really love this.
I even recommend putting it more in public somewhere.
Fantastic Job!
