try this,
open the terminal and type '
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /path/to/app
note: instead of typing the path of the app manually, you can also drag and drop the program in the terminal window.
Hi - yes I know how to remove the pop-up, but I was hope the developer would start signing the binary so the problem goes away.
