Such an interesting idea! It's similar in concept to a text-based game, but you're relying on sound instead of text. I can't seem to figure out how to beat it though. Any tips??

Thanks! Hm, I am sorry to hear that you had a hard time beating it. It was not easy for me to estimate the difficulty, since I knew the layout of the level from the start. I just made my roommate playtest it, and this were the tips that he found useful:

  • apparently, the step and wall bump sound are to similar - make sure you know which sound means what
  • at first he didn't use the echolot ability at all. However, you can use it as often as you like, there is no negative side to it and it should guide you to the right direction
  • the echolot sound always points in the direction of the goal - however, there may be walls in between
  • The level is basically split in two rooms. I think the hard part is to find the entrance to the second room, where the goal is. Near the entrance, you should be able to hear some wind rustling.
  • the goal is somewhat in the middle of the room and not near a wall
  • if there is no other option: you may use F3 see what the level actually looks like

Good luck!
