I was very impressed with the devlogs shared in Discord across the jam. The work that's here is a good start, and I really enjoy the ship design.
I understand that you didn't get the time or progress you had hoped for, but I still hope that you are able to feel proud of the stuff that you did get done! If you continue working on this, I'd love to see where it goes :)
Since I've been making similar notes on other submissions, I should highlight that the game has SFML requirements that are not listed on the game page as install instructions. These could be bundled with builds and a launcher script to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
