This is a cool concept! The relationship between lasers and doors was a little unclear at first, but once it clicked, it was a great mechanic! It feels like there is lots of room for new mechanics to interact with one another in future levels and stages. The second area was very intimidating, in a good way!
The color palette goes a long way towards giving the game a cohesive aesthetic! It evoked early Metal Gear Solid aesthetics, (for me!)
