These are cool. Calm Player was nice, it sounded like there was a lot of the room in the recording of the percussion which gave it a cool reverb effect. Did you record samples yourself and program the percussion? Or was it played live?

I also really liked Insolitus. Those changes are so abrupt! I love that kind of stuff, very big Mr. Bungle or Naked City vibes.

Hey Treop, thanks for your feedback. I really appreciate it! I am glad you like what you listened to. In Calm Player I used NI DrumLab for the percussive parts, which already have some amount of reverb in the samples. I additionally almost always use Valhalla Room for additional reverb (sometimes Valhalla Plate, but Room mostly). The e-bass, I have to confess, synthetic in this piece. Sometimes I record e-bass live. The e-piano is made with Pianoteq and the e-guitar is recorded and played live by me; through the virtual guitar amp TH-U.

The piece Insolitus is a really old piece. Glad that you still like it, hehe! It is a rather experimental piece, in which I tried to modify a piano and drum sound to have almost no release tail so that it sounds choppy. (-;

Thanks again for all your feedback. (=

There's nothing wrong with using synthetic instruments, in music the only thing that matters is the sound of the finished piece.

True words! This is exactly my mindset. <3
