TLDR: bad game, very lackluster and bare bones

Had to install it on my laptop because the game kept trying to open discord on my pc.  Which I only decided to try a day after installing the first time. The first time you start the game the sensitivity is wack so you can't move the mouse until you change it, so I had to exit out and restart the game. Obunga is very hard to run away from, as the second he sees you he will always know your location and will chase you until you inevitably hit a dead end. Also I did not know that sprinting required energy until I realized I wasn't moving faster than walking speed, as there is no energy bar. Obunga does not make his presence well known through sound cues, and two of the times I died I didn't even see him, the restart screen just appeared out of the blue. Has very bare bones graphics, and the red lamps clip light through the walls. The dev console options are in the settings but are not usable. If you didn't want people to use them then you should have just gotten rid of the whole page. I would have liked to see stuff like jumping and crouching like in the Gmod videos where you have to parkour to get away. I could easily make a better environment on something like the roblox game engine, but I could not make Obunga as I do not know how to code pathfinding (The pathfinding is still bare bones as hell). Overall very lackluster and I am disappointed that the only Obunga game on itch is made by an amateur developer. I do not understand how the game has had 5 updates, as you would think this was the very first test release. I don't even want to think about how bad the earlier versions were.

The sensitivity being 0 upon first time loading in is a bug that I'm fixing in the next version. The game crashing and force opening Discord is a bug regarding the Discord RPC status the game has. I forgot to implement a check that makes it so it doesn't do anything if Discord isn't running (tbh bad api on Discord's part). This is my first game in the Unity engine so even I agree that yeah it's pretty bad lol. Obunga doesn't actually lock on to the player permanently upon seeing them, he only chases them if they're in a certain range. I just made the amount of time it takes for the stamina to deplete ridiculously low which is kind of unfair game design on my part (sorry about that).

I've considered completely rebuilidng this game from the ground up as the Unity project is extremely unorganized and it's become difficult to work with. I hope to revamp this game and make it a much more entertaining experience in the future. In all honesty though, Obunga was really just kind of a tech-demo and a stupid game I made just because I thought nextbots were an interesting concept.

You should not he apologizing to this guy he is being a jerk for no reason i dont care if he gave you tips on what to fix but he could have at least tried to be nice personally this is very impressive to me and i actually know how to use unity and have made several games incomparable to this all in all amazing for you're first game
