Because saves from before the enhanced update will cause those issues. It is suggested to start a new save with the enhanced update because many changes happened such as renders, features, and some story and events. The beginning progresses faster and some story changes happens towards the beginning too. However there is a save you could use in the discord server if you like too. Otherwise you will need to start a new save
