This is really useful feedback - thanks so much!

I'm hoping to work on my puzzle design, as I tend to default to just "find the keys", but I think these sorts of games really benefit from more involved ideas, particularly if they link in to the themes. Time for me  to go back and replay a bunch of horror games for ideas!

Inventory audio is a great point, I'll aim to patch this in after the jam as you're absolutely right that it'd improve the feel a lot. I'll try and get the odd issue with misalignment as you scroll through too, as this has been bothering me for a while.

Delighted I was able to scare you! Always makes me happy :)

Glad I could help! If you're looking for horror games with good puzzle design, I think the original resident evil had some good puzzles. I 've only played a little bit of it, but it had some good stuff.

Also, although they're not necessarily horror games, point and click games like Myst are focused almost entirely on puzzles. So you might find some inspiration there.

Thanks! Love me some Resident Evil, but haven't played Myst - I'll check it out! Been a long time since I played any point and click adventures
