While initially I was somewhat put off by the typical fantasy setting, the fun character writing did a lot to pull me in and get me invested. As a big Fire Emblem fan, I like the fact that you went with a tactical rpg setup, but I feel its pacing could benefit from more consistent counterattacks (they seemed to activate randomly from what I experienced) so enemies could be defeated faster. I'd also argue that stat boosting abilities in srpgs aren't especially useful since most enemy encounters end in 1-3 hits, so if an attack boost is just increasing damage but not reducing the number of hits, the boost isn't really changing anything too meaningfully. Otherwise though, the character writing and the srpg structure together fit nicely!
