:o I'll keep an eye on this, thanks. In the future I'll just have to also have a downloadable version of the game available for those who don't wanna switch browsers.

Thanks alot! I've been getting lots of good ideas and feedback on things and I'm excited to keep working on it! I appreciate your insightful feedback.

I honestly didn't realize you were designating a browser with "FF". I get you now tho. I'll see if there are any solutions available. Thanks for the feedback!

What browser are you using? It seems to run fine in Chrome.

what a fun little survival game! The movement was smooth and the aesthetics were cool. I especially liked the sprite of the hourglass, even though I didn't get much time to look at is as I was trying not to die! Very engaging. Great job.

yeah I think it has potential for that kind of game! I thought the presentation and scene transition stuff was nice. I'm just bad at this type of game anyway so I failed pretty hard lol

I thought this game was a fun twist, but I kinda had no idea how the combat system worked. It was very vague and I felt like I ran out of points to investigate before I had a clear idea of the story. I did like the creative aesthetic and it seems like a very good basis for a more fleshed out game. Interested to see what, if anything, you do with this idea in the future.

I'm gonna be honest, I didn't enjoy this game. I mostly just kept running around and getting hit by cars or dying of starvation. I understand that this is the point of the game, and as someone who owns two cats who were rescued from the streets, I'm not without sympathy for the story. It's just that there wasn't really much story to find or at least I didn't find it. As a PSA for abandoned/stray animals it's great. But I feel like people will pick it up, play it for a few moments, and then either donate or not donate to the charity. As a game itself, it feels like there's not much to do or interact with, and there isn't much to get me to keep retrying when I die and then get the title screen again. I thought the art was pretty fun and the idea of the game was enticing, but when I played it it just felt like an exercise in futility.

thanks for your comment! I am not sure what srpg means but I'm glad the parts I really focused on where parts you enjoyed. I feel as though I have barely scratched the surface of what is possible with this form. This was my first time trying to build a tactical RPG but it felt good to try.

thanks for taking the time to comment on my game! This is my first time doing a game jam and I learned a lot about project management and decision making while working on this game. Honestly I was very ambitious going into this game, and had to cut out mechanics and story elements mid way to save time and so I kinda rushed to the finish line there and it shows. I am thankful though that the character interactions came through because it was the one thing I refused to cut down on since the bonds and stuff are what bring the theme into the game. So yeah, some of your criticisms I was expecting and some I wasn't! Very thorough and insightful. Thanks for your honesty. I would like to get better and this helps.

I plan to participate in future jams and will probably explore the same world in future ones. I like the idea of building a series of stories here in different modes and forms to see what could be taken farther into a full game.
