how do you enter console mode to use the cheats that are in the walk through?
You need to run it aswell, when it asks you what it's supposed to do press 3 to enable the console. After that you can go ingame and open the commands window with Shift + OThe "console" is the renpy in-game console, just to make sure.
That console is activated by the Unren according to the explanations you see in this thread.
You jump into that in-game console mode, once the game is running, by pressing SHIFT-O, then type in the cheats / stuff from the walk through you want and then leave the console with typing "exit" and return.
After that changes are immediately available in the game.
And P.S.:
Be sure to play V0.4RC4 to avoid a nasty quest bug.
