Yeah, with a friend of mine it also was like "where should I go?" "just follow the guiding light"  "the what now?".

It was intentional to have it be quite subtle, but probably a bit too subtle in hindsight. Part of that is probably that the dust itself was just a quick and dirty workaround to make it possible to still see movement despite having no ground texture and few environmental objects, so not enough thought went into how they play together (that and time-constraints of course :D).
