i get what you're saying, but i'm really disappointed by this response. let's not kid ourselves that this is a fantasy game about a fantasy village. green-skinned people and Woofians didn't exist in medieval Europe, but it wasn't a stretch to include them in this game. you may not know this, but it's a racist myth that Black and Brown people didn't live in Europe even in medieval times. https://psmag.com/education/yes-there-were-poc-in-medieval-europe

my question was simply a follow-up to the game developer's post more than a year ago that they had thought about darkening the skin color of the canonically Black characters. i understand and want this to be a Bara game (and who invented Bara hmmmmm?), but i was hoping for a more thoughtful answer, if not the changes that you proposed a year ago. and beyond that, what would it hurt to include a wider variety of skin colors and features on men in this genre?

Ah yes, tentacle monsters, furries, and BDSM dungeons, how could I forget these iconic representations of medieval Europe...
Using historical accuracy as an argument just doesn't make sense here. Instead ask yourself why you find it easier to envision dragons with dicks bigger than a shower cubicle (which still fits inside the MC ass, mind you) than properly fleshed out people of color.
And let's not go down the "sorry my art style simply doesn't lend itself to drawing non-white facial features" road because we know where that line of reasoning will end up...
Regarding the body type, I wasn't talking about twinks, It is bara after all, I just wanted more variety than the same copypasted sixpack on most of the characters.

It's important to understand I'm not saying that this game is bad, I'm happy it exists since we have so very few porn bara games with animated sex scenes 🤤. The lack of good representation is just one of its flaws and hopefully the creators will broaden their definition of what they consider a sexy bara body in future updates or games.

I get what you're saying in regards to assets being a bit hard to change for existing characters. I see both sides here and I don't think they are being outright hateful, just very critical due to the argument you gave considering the fantasy races are there. Personally the character I thought was black was the guy who sells you weapons but I can see their point: no truly ebony skinned characters. I think if you ever planned on throwing another character in in some way down the line it's something to consider. As for Asians it's not toooo much of a stretch to have a Mongolian character, considering they went as far as Poland and defeated Templars there during the height of their empire. I can easily envision a hot bearded Mongolian-esque guy who has an archery or horseback related job in your game. Backstory could be as simple as him wanting to escape participating in the brutality of their warfare and travelled far as he could running away. I assume you've got all your characters done already though. But if you can squeeze in another character or two though, representation is good for sales and it'll make bara enthusiasts of all colors feel welcome in wheelcum.

Bara isn't necessarily only the extremely muscular body type, it's just typically masculine. Mainly anything that's not femme guys drawn by women for women, which is what yaoi is. That 'masculine' body can be anything from an otter, a muscle-fat bear, purely muscular guy, or even a chub. I think there's diversity here in your game  it's just that one specific body type (purely muscular) that's most common in the game is a very noticeable majority, like 70 to 80% if I had to guesstimate. Daddy Orc is probably my favorite to fight or see in the scenes because he actually has a bigger belly and fatter ass but he feels like an exception alongside the bear baker and the beer guzzling fella with the axe game.
