I get what you're saying in regards to assets being a bit hard to change for existing characters. I see both sides here and I don't think they are being outright hateful, just very critical due to the argument you gave considering the fantasy races are there. Personally the character I thought was black was the guy who sells you weapons but I can see their point: no truly ebony skinned characters. I think if you ever planned on throwing another character in in some way down the line it's something to consider. As for Asians it's not toooo much of a stretch to have a Mongolian character, considering they went as far as Poland and defeated Templars there during the height of their empire. I can easily envision a hot bearded Mongolian-esque guy who has an archery or horseback related job in your game. Backstory could be as simple as him wanting to escape participating in the brutality of their warfare and travelled far as he could running away. I assume you've got all your characters done already though. But if you can squeeze in another character or two though, representation is good for sales and it'll make bara enthusiasts of all colors feel welcome in wheelcum.
Bara isn't necessarily only the extremely muscular body type, it's just typically masculine. Mainly anything that's not femme guys drawn by women for women, which is what yaoi is. That 'masculine' body can be anything from an otter, a muscle-fat bear, purely muscular guy, or even a chub. I think there's diversity here in your game it's just that one specific body type (purely muscular) that's most common in the game is a very noticeable majority, like 70 to 80% if I had to guesstimate. Daddy Orc is probably my favorite to fight or see in the scenes because he actually has a bigger belly and fatter ass but he feels like an exception alongside the bear baker and the beer guzzling fella with the axe game.

Unless you want to explore polyamory, and I am poly myself so I would love that, Asterion, Storm, and Pedro already have their romance needs fulfilled. I think it would be wasteful to focus on another romantic story for any of these three, would distract from well needed exploration of the other characters. Unless you threw an extra character in to make a throuple.
Out of Luke, Kota, Themba, Khenbish, Robert, and Argos...
Robert and Themba - They both have a similar vibe, kinda quiet and intellectual but in different ways, with Robert being more metaphysical and dealing with souls and the afterlife and Themba dealing with finances and assets. Also Robert and Thembas answers in the drinking game match them up fairly well. Might be a way to explore both characters a little more and they're in need of it. Robert might also provide opportunity to explore the mythology behind Themba and his family.
Luke and Kota? - I can see it being a lot of people's answer, given just how many times Kota brushes Luke off about the sexual stuff it's hard to tell for me. These two have the most time to work with if choices are incorporated into whether or not romance blossoms between characters.
I still don't feel like I have scoped out what kind of character Khenbish is compared to the others honestly, but anyone who loves to eat or is into wrestling is a good match for him, it's maybe that simple. Kota and Luke are probably the foodiest characters.
Nikos and Asterion by far have the most potential but they're also uh...cousins. And I can't see anyone else other than main character for Nikos?
Haven't read up on any dev's intentions on anything until recently, apologies for the ignorance if it's stated somewhere! I know Luke said Aster would be a sub in that one scene but that's coming from Luke. There are options in two moments you play wrestle where you can make a choice where you'll either get dominated by Asterion or you successfully get a move on him so I wasn't sure. At least that's what I got on my recent Math playthrough.
The unintentional consequence here is that the frumpiness makes Greta endearing. I get the feeling we should hate her but Greta said nothing wrong and she would have changed the world for the better if we went along with it. Queen shit!!!
Anyways if you update her you might as well update Ishmael for the sake of noticeable disparity. Aside from Jean/Hermes who looks fine, Greta and Ishmael have the most time on screen.
If you can throw 8 characters into it you could do a little tournament. In my head these matchups would be the most entertaining to explore:
Asterion vs Nikos - a secret dialog could open up if you sent Asterion to him in the beginning of the game. Roles are reversed since Nikos no longer has it in him to bite and envenom Asterion and it's an easy win but this was that last thing Asterion needed to fully let go of all anxiety about Nikos being in the hotel with him and it's a moment both of them needed to fully overcome any lingering distrust.
Storm vs P - I think it's fun for relationship building, Storm wins so he and Asterion can lock horns and establish that mentor relationship Asterion has with him when he wins the semifinal. And I can see P surprise winning because of his police training but having a semifinal scene with Asterion and Storm would be more interesting?
Luke vs Kota - if you went with a classy hotel Kota wins, if you went with a fun/horny hotel Luke wins. Or just have Kota win because Luke had it coming to begin with and Luke is easily distracted. You can't not do this match up after their fight early in the story lol.
You vs Robert or Themba or Khenbish. Who of the three you face depends on who you have spent the most time with, allowing for replayability.
Asterion, Storm, Kota/Luke, and you make sense as winners here. Asterion vs Storm and Luke/Kota vs you for semifinal, Asterion vs you in the final round. You winning both rounds and getting to wrestle being the ideal outcome for the relationship with Asterion. If you do decide to write sex scenes with Asterion in the future this could be a good moment where role dynamics are decided. You winning means you are dom, Aster winning means you're a sub, a tie meaning you'll both be vers.
