I liked the art style and the mechanic was interesting. I appreciated that the mechanic was elaborated on as you go further in the level. I think overall it was missing a bit of feedback - it was unclear why I was dying, what my objective was, and if I had won or not. A little music, even if minimal, would help to balance out the SFX as well. Overall, an interesting idea!
