Simple but clean concept! Having the asteroid storm occurring outside the ship would be cool. Maybe some screen shakes when you get hit, and spacial sound effects so you know where the asteroid hit you so you can go repair.
Thank you. You're right about the asteroid storm and other effects. I wanted to implement a storm around the ship and a visual representation of the shield but it was a little too much for me.
