The aesthetic right the start is veery solid, I think you nailed the visuals at the start. It's engaging to start exploring.
In general I would say it felt more 'interesting' than 'scary'.
Maybe I'm dumb, but it took me 5 minutes to find the wrench, and it really annoyed me. I'm usually annoyed with adventures games, though, mind you.
The lighting in the church was a bit strange, I think. It fucked with my brain a bit, because I felt like I was in an exterior.
I said this before, but I'll repeat that the game looks awesome.
Oh, and the crickets are a bit too much for my ears, I think. It was a pretty dramatic difference compared to the silence once you enter church.
