Hey Darius! No worries, I'll take some time to explain since you went through the trouble of writing up where the communication broke down. This is a community built on a code of conduct as well as rules. We kick and ban people for breaking the rules, not whether they are "nice" or not (sea-lioners and many trolls are very nice, believe me) because those are in place for safety as well as community wellbeing. We also have to make these kinds of calls based on some limited info, but multiple mods signed off on this so we stand by it.

To start: I reached out to clarify what you meant by your message and you told me that you didn't care about the rule, (and saying "bud" in a situation where a moderator is trying to get some clarity is a little rude, I'll give you that you apparently didn't know) and then you replied as stated but also changed the "bud" to "buddy" which at that point felt very much like trolling. I've dealt with a lot of trolls before and this is pretty in line with how they interact with me. And to clarify: We have a rule where users must be 14 years or older to join the Discord. This is stated in all official links to the Discord as well as the rules and enforced every jam with a polite ask and kick if the user doesn't listen. This is not negotiable. If you want to disagree with this rule you are free to do so, but it does not change that this is a rule we have in place for safety. Disagreeing with any rules (and especially doubling down without any helpful reasoning) means you're not a good match for our Discord community so we decided on a ban. Just to be clear though you are still free to post here or join another jam, so why not interact with others here instead?

Finally, we have a rules regarding respect for others and not allowing transphobia. This extends to pronoun usage. I realize this is probably a language barrier but you've misgendered me constantly in this post, despite including the pronoun that I literally have in my display name. If you have the chance to learn more about pronouns (including fixing posts with misgendering others such as myself...) and how to apply them properly to people as well as show some respect for the rules we have put in place in our community, we will consider a repeal. Thanks for joining us and hope this clarifies any misunderstanding.
