HELP!!! Idk why I get banned in discord server

I get banned from the discord server.

I recently check the #introduction, and I found a post that someone is below 13. And a guy called yurigods (j (they / are) said the guy needs 14 yrs to join.

And I comment it with only my opinion, "just 13, don't care..."

So, Yurigods dm me, and said, '? what's just 13'

I gave Yurigods a friendly wave sticker and said, 'hi yurigods, I don't care about the age of 13, he will have his birthday soon, bud'

What Yurigods reply is: calling me "bud" is a little familar and honestly kind of rude

At that time, I was totally don't know how to answer it, even Mr. Beast said bud in his video, what's that problem with bud, I really don't understand...

Yurigods added, 'If youre going to flaunt the discord rules im going to kick you'

I gave him three dots for reply, and of course I'm not going to flaunt the discord rules

After that, he kicked me with "ok, according to our rules that's a kick"

Wait, hold on, Yurigods said "if you're going to flaunt..." I'm not going to flaunt, it's just all my opinion, seriously who wants to be kicked in the discord server, I'm being friendly to everyone. And I really don't know what I did wrong, maybe I should say "just 13,  I don't care..." instead of "just 13, don't care..." Maybe this is the mistake.

I think Yurigods have some misunderstanding. I really hope I can get back to the discord server. If I really do wrong, pls tell me. I would like to correct my mistake!

Also, I can't contact to Yurigods because we didn't share a discord server. And idk I should post this in here... I really really hope that I can get back to the discord server. I've a happier day in there, I can share my things, giving my opinion. But now... it's gone... Just like a part of my life gone...

Hey Darius! No worries, I'll take some time to explain since you went through the trouble of writing up where the communication broke down. This is a community built on a code of conduct as well as rules. We kick and ban people for breaking the rules, not whether they are "nice" or not (sea-lioners and many trolls are very nice, believe me) because those are in place for safety as well as community wellbeing. We also have to make these kinds of calls based on some limited info, but multiple mods signed off on this so we stand by it.

To start: I reached out to clarify what you meant by your message and you told me that you didn't care about the rule, (and saying "bud" in a situation where a moderator is trying to get some clarity is a little rude, I'll give you that you apparently didn't know) and then you replied as stated but also changed the "bud" to "buddy" which at that point felt very much like trolling. I've dealt with a lot of trolls before and this is pretty in line with how they interact with me. And to clarify: We have a rule where users must be 14 years or older to join the Discord. This is stated in all official links to the Discord as well as the rules and enforced every jam with a polite ask and kick if the user doesn't listen. This is not negotiable. If you want to disagree with this rule you are free to do so, but it does not change that this is a rule we have in place for safety. Disagreeing with any rules (and especially doubling down without any helpful reasoning) means you're not a good match for our Discord community so we decided on a ban. Just to be clear though you are still free to post here or join another jam, so why not interact with others here instead?

Finally, we have a rules regarding respect for others and not allowing transphobia. This extends to pronoun usage. I realize this is probably a language barrier but you've misgendered me constantly in this post, despite including the pronoun that I literally have in my display name. If you have the chance to learn more about pronouns (including fixing posts with misgendering others such as myself...) and how to apply them properly to people as well as show some respect for the rules we have put in place in our community, we will consider a repeal. Thanks for joining us and hope this clarifies any misunderstanding.

Umm... I didn't disagree the rule at first, I just like discussing the rule. And I don't meant to be rude or a troll. I hate troll, but thx for your reply. I will think more about it And I don't have transphobia. I have a problem with myself, just I can't distinguish male or female... I'm so sorry for that. And I still hope that I will get unbanned from the discord server!

Not sure how else to read both of your lines which include "don't care he's 13" as anything but disagreeing with the rule. If you have further discussion with it, feel free to share your actual discussion, since we still haven't seen any valid points yet. We have this rule in place to protect younger children since while the Discord is a moderated space, we can't catch everything. A lot of people also like to join teams of varying ages, which while this can be fine for smaller ranges, can (and has, in fact) turn dangerous. We are just a very large community at this point and made this decision (among many others I might add) with safety at the forefront.

You don't need to distinguish "male or female"--you can just use pronouns for people based on what they have set in their profile, as this also includes people who are neither male nor female (such as myself). If someone uses "she" you can refer to her as "she" or “her”, etc. I have "they" in my profile because that's what I use. Here's an example: "They made a game." Hopefully this helps, especially if you’d like to edit your original post.

You ban me from the server, can't saw your profile or badges...

No worries! I told you my pronouns just now. Here’s all of them: they/them/their. Also from your post: “And a guy called yurigods (j (they”
