this is really good. nice job on all the effects, everything feels amazing on that front. the energy mechanic feels wrong though, as paying a tax after youve made money just feels bad but also has no deeper gameplay possibilities.

something much more interesting, for instance, and this is just an example of course, would be: shop with options to buy new towers or upgrades for existing towers, the shop can be rerolled, and you can gain interest between rounds if you decide to save money instead. this feels like a positive gameplay loop where youre always in control of whats happening and where there are strategic choices to be made regarding when to spend vs. not, whereas paying the energy tax just feels too disconnected from the earlier choice of putting down a new tower

other than that this is really great, i saw youre still working on this so hope you release it eventually. good job!
