it was really fun
it was challenging but not annoying, unique and good concept, i didn't expect the excitement of waiting to see what roll i have and how to react. solid casual game i'd definitely play in an arcade and probably at home.
some points of improvement, spelt nerve-racking wrong at the end. Encountered 3 bugs (less than expected) : this was where the dice would become invisible and player and dice would become invulnerable, on the level with the first button clipped into walls and couldn't get out and not being able to refresh and had to refresh the page, these were minor except the final one as it required me to restart the whole game. Also not a bug but the game could be easily cheated by resetting before the dice broke or activated a number that would kill the player.
positives: the music was very good and definitely fit style and theme of game, the story was an easy way into the world (important for a casual game like this), character was cool and the way hints and tutorial was taught was quick and efficient (it didn't feel annoying to replay after the bugs), the numbers' effects were good, 7 10 11, maybe except number 3 (is just an instant restart of the level), to nit-pick the game, it would be good if the dice could have the number on the dice? or made a little more dramatic and it could possibly affect the game more? however at the moment it is a good balance of skill and gambling so it may be tricky to implementoverall a very positive first game jam game experience, would rate 4/5 just because i had to restart the game around 5 times due to the same bug and their are some improvements to make; game was a good length with a nice difficulty progression and levels that got harder with each new skill learnt.
