Very nice, feels pretty polished. The levels are interesting and the rolling feels mostly fun. I got bit annoyed by the platforms but they proved to be ok. I agree with others, that limited lives don't bring anything to the table for the game.

I got stuck at level seen below, the dice had gone through almost all faces and hit the first spikes, leaving me behind. The face activated after, even when the die was gone and I was unable to reset or die. I think I lost all my lives on this level as well...?

This level was sadly known to be bugged due to an oversight in the code for levels with checkpoints - which were definitely spaced too far apart (Playtesting was a privilege we couldn't afford lol) - but I'm glad you enjoyed our main mechanic!

Very well made game with interesting mechanics! Presentation is top-notch too.

Though having limited lives is unnecessary and makes it a bit too frustrating.

I really love the presentation and style here! The character designs were cute and the game was overall well written and highly polished. That being said, it felt like a lot of the dice results were just instant resets for levels, like Laser in some of the open sections. Maybe balancing it so that each result is survivable regardless of context (although not necessarily easy to do so ofc) would be cool, like having laser lock on before just firing once.

Good job!

I like this game! It's a neat combination of golf and random die-rolling, with fun and unpredictable effects behind the different rolls. Plus, the game has a nice art style, catchy music, and overall good platforming polish.

That being said, I did find it a bit annoying when the die-rolls would render the levels impossible, which happened fairly often in some of the longer levels. The lives system also seemed unnecessary - just restarting the level is already enough "backtracking" in my opinion.

But altogether, this is a fun and well-made submission!

Top notch platformer! I kept thinking this would be easy but I kept running near the die and would die myself.

This is a great take on the submission, I really had to think about how I approach gameplay when the dice rolls! It's hard to bring in narrative into game jams, but you did it excellently!

Coool submission! I can see a few minor flaws with the game (checkpoints, sometimes frustrating results from the die) but overall I think this is one of the most polished and fun entries yet. Nice work, I'd love to see more of this!

Amazing work. The art, music, and sound effects all mesh together so well. Fantastic use of theme. Gameplay feels great and the dice rolls and level mechanics were so good. I wish their was a version of the game where you don't have to start back at the beginning. Would love an expansion. Superb job.

Great job guys! The visuals are very appealing, the gameplay is varied and fun, and its one of the few game with a narrative going on in the background to add extra character. From all the varied outcomes of the dice throw I particularly like being upside down :)

Wow, what an amazing concept! The game feels super great to play, and the art/music/sounds are all amazing. Truly one of the best games in this jam for sure! The randomness of the die is actually really fun and interactive and not once was I frustrated at the roll. The movement was super responsive and the physics of the dice and whatnot were on point! I have nothing but praise for this game. Great work!

it was really fun

it was challenging but not annoying, unique and good concept, i didn't expect the excitement of waiting to see what roll i have and how to react. solid casual game i'd definitely play in an arcade and probably at home.

some points of improvement, spelt nerve-racking wrong at the end. Encountered 3 bugs (less than expected) : this was where the dice would become invisible and player and dice would become invulnerable, on the level with the first button clipped into walls and couldn't get out and not being able to refresh and had to refresh the page, these were minor except the final one as it required me to restart the whole game. Also not a bug but the game could be easily cheated by resetting before the dice broke or activated a number that would kill the player.

positives: the music was very good and definitely fit style and theme of game, the story was an easy way into the world (important for a casual game like this), character was cool and the way hints and tutorial was taught was quick and efficient (it didn't feel annoying to replay after the bugs), the numbers' effects were good, 7 10 11, maybe except number 3 (is just an instant restart of the level), to nit-pick the game, it would be good if the dice could have the number on the dice? or made a little more dramatic and it could possibly affect the game more? however at the moment it is a good balance of skill and gambling so it may be tricky to implement

overall a very positive first game jam game experience, would rate 4/5 just because i had to restart the game around 5 times due to the same bug and their are some improvements to make; game was a good length with a nice difficulty progression and levels that got harder with each new skill learnt.

good work everyone involve

Entity is a fun character, and I think the idea is creative, but the dice trapped me and itself with a platform under a laser, then exploded and killed me, right before a check point, and I can't say that was a good experience.

Great job -- this game is unique and really well made!  The physics, and the audio feedback feels really good.

Congrats :)
