I definitely enjoyed this, but I feel like the developer hated me and wanted me to suffer.
Most of it wasnt too bad, but the last section of the first area is just  awful.
A large part of the issue is just the fact that it's RNG, so sections like that don't really work since you're relying on getting RNG that will let you actually beat it, another issue with that part is there's no way to see what youre even supposed to do and where to go.
I think this game shines most with shorter sections where you're trying to chaotically complete sections by reacting on the fly. I think for longer sections some more work would need to be done to make it more fair.
Also I think the controls are kinda wonk, it's fine when you get used to it I suppose but I wanted to press space to jump. I think the main issue is that since one of the abilities is essentially jump, having the actual jump button right next to it is a bit confusing.

Anyway, other than that stuff, probably would've liked to see more different powers since the pool is quite limited, but I imagine it would only get even more ridiculous to manage at that point.
Nice jam

Thanks for the feedback!

Difficulty is really hard to get right as the only person making a game without play testing, but I probably could have paid more attention when making the levels and pulled back the difficulty a bit.

There are a ton of inherent obstacles with my idea for this game, and I don’t think I properly designed around those issues. If I make something similar or iterate to on it in the future, I’ll probably rework the system quite a bit.

The controls thing is mostly because pico8’s default buttons are z and x (likely because a ton of pc games use those).
