well, there's no everyone on wiki, because it's basically one person's guide right now, 86/90 pages or something. maybe one day you'll write opposite opinion there

I use max Agility build, because it lets you steal everything instead of buying, and I mean every expensive thing in existence. Also Agility will sometimes be in check in dialogues. Like, you can get 40 food or something from Elite Harpy for free, nice. It makes damage fairly enough, while letting you dodge hapf the damage.

Your build may also work well. The only concern is enemies later on, like the final boss especially, who will hit hard, and have a big pool of health, so you may die faster than you could inflict a good amount of damage. Or use up your stamina, especially if you have a penalty from your armor. Otherwise, what works works. Maybe you'll like a Berserk skill that makes you hit even harder but you won't stop offence until you fall.

I will admit, after a couple more hours of play, there have been some fights where I start to feel that lack of a shield. The Wasp is so aggressive and does so much damage that being able to hunker down behind a shield, wait for her to destroy her own footing and throw a timely Careful Attack into Overrun is quite helpful there.

I am thinking about messing around with a rapier build at some point in the future. Feel like the Strength vs. Agility trade mostly comes down to, "Do you want grapple, or do you want parry?"

The thing is... you don't want the grapple. You can only throw enemies this way. They'll stand up with regenerated stability. So it's a waste of time to even try. Well, if you're much stronger, maybe you can make them use up all the stamina in process and keep yours, but it's still something very tricky.

Grappling is cool for screwing people. Or getting them to screw you. But, still... You'll only need 5 STR for that I suppose. And it can be achieved when maxing out something else, too, you just need bonus points + levels so your essential stats would be enough.

But you're not the first who's telling me that Strength is the stat they prefer to max out.

Well, I'm less concerned with Strength for the sake of grappling offensively (heh) and more for the sake of snapping out of enemy grapple attempts basically instantly. I learned from the harpy on my first attempt that getting grappled by some enemies can leave you with those game-over inducing Perks, and I've read that the naga can flat-out kill you via grappling. Having an answer to that seemed worthwhile.

Also, this is pretty freakin' niche, but as far as I know, you can't get into the Manor in Monster Town without either Strength or Magic, and that seems like a reasonably important quest? Not sure I'm gonna say being able to do one specific quest is worth picking Strength over Agility when Agility has so many other things going for it, but I felt like it was worth acknowledging.

you can get there, you just can't get some (uh, not very useful) loot out of it. from some point of time you can even recruit Warlock to your team with your butt, and no Charisma. Which makes it even less important as a stat.
