I changed path to media folder and now I get that there was a problem with loading pictures stored at old locations. It happened with edging to specific thing. Can I somehow refresh or delete references to old files?

Hi aerothick,

thanks for your feeback. Did you also delete or move to folder / pictures?

I deleted original folder and move pictures to another. My original path was: "\Downloads\ARCHIVE v0.2.034b\ARCHIVE v0.2.034b\xxx" and I changed it to "\Downloads\ARCHIVE v0.2.034b\xxx". I also moved all pictures to new folder before I deleted original.

Hi again,

ok, as I thought. Yes that's something I'm currently fixing. Archive should of course not try to load old / unavailable pictures. An in addition you should be able to get rid of them. A new version is in progress but it still needs some more testing before I upload it here on itch.io.

What's quite funny is, that you are by far not the first person who copies the pictures into Archives folder. And that's the only location where they're shouldn't be in. Because the programm can't handle this. ;) I really have to fix this or prevent it from happen.

To be honest it makes sense to store pics/vids in folder of Archive. I have porn folder but it's organized differently and it wouldn't work for Archive. Software should check before opening a file if it can even find it at the location stored in database. If that file doesn't exist at the location - just skip this picture or even better - delete reference to it. Even better would be to ask user to point where missing pictures were moved. At the start it should prompt user that there were some pictures/videos that are missing and ask user what to do. Why exactly files shouldn't be in Archive folder?

That's exactly what I did code.. but forgot to activate. :D

Ok, what's missing is the database clean up. But that's on my list.

The reason for the pictures not being in the programs folder is .. in the end just a bug. Sometimes you see a problem but are stupid enough to not come up with a solution. And over the time you forget about it. That's where this is at. The "problem" is, that while a folder is inside Archive folder structure, it will be categorized as relative path when scanning. This is necessary for the system images, but can of course be ignored or better noted when setting up a media folder. That's all I have to change.. Don't ask me why I haven't came across this fix earlier.. :)

Btw. I you like to exchange more feedback or read about bugs & the development as where we are at feel free to join us on Discord!
