I feel like I idea is good but could be worked on.
I don't feel like game rewards or punishes me enough. 2 rounds I just placed ingredients as soon as they arrived and won anyways. Also I don't feel trying to remember all combos I just made is worth it or if its fun. I'd suggest you add somwhere visible list that fills with combinations I just made and some general result of the combination. I think that might incentivise me to pay attention to combinations I make.
