Thanks for the feedback, we decided against designing in that direction because it left Petra without much of anything to do during the rest of the game and that really damaged the feeling of cooperation as well as de-emphasizing the closeness of the characters that we wanted to get across. Needing to follow along and rewrite G.A.L.E's trajectory as necessary much more captured the feeling of a couple watching over each other.
