Just seeing the title I knew I was in for a treat with this one, but even so, it surpassed all my expectations! I absolutely love the concept of this game, and I think that it's a very cool use of the modifier!
The characters are all so well drawn and written! Little details like facial expressions, different positions, and sound effects during transitions (like going into the shell for example) all really helped to keep engagement high! For visual novel jam games, keeping the player engaged is sometimes tricky, but this game really excels at the job!
I like that the game feels complete story-wise, and has a v nice plot twist ending! At the same time though, it was short enough to be played through easily in a single sitting, making the pacing perfect for a jam game! The music is super energetic, with clear in-your-face melodies that are awesome to listen to!
This is an absolute hidden gem among the entries this year! To also be done by one person (I believe) is even crazier! and demonstrates a multitude of talent! Thanks so much for submitting, and well done!
