What I liked
- I loved the art style. It's simple, playful, and clean.
- The music meshes well with the art. Its consistent with that playful look.
- The game doesn't need a tutorial to communicate your objective and how to play. It's pretty intuitive with an exception.
- The theme is clearly implemented without having to look at the description.
Suggestions/Feedback
- In regards to the art, I mentioned everything looks clean. I forgot about the fire pit. It looked a little fuzzy compared to everything else. I also feel conflicted about the grid outline for tiles. I like it, but I'm also curious about what it would look like without the grid line.
- Someone already mentioned it, but there was a lot of empty space. So either smaller levels or more set pieces would make it better.
Overall, I think my criticisms can be chalked up to the nature of game jams. Its a fun jam game that has personality. Congrats on the cool game!
