I just installed the .deb package on an Ubuntu 18 VM and couldn't reproduce the problem. Perhaps try the tarball.

havent been able to test it sorry i got a little busy but ill try this weekend with it.
Yes same problem on the tar. It loaded my saved game so maybe i need to unisntall and check again
