Thanks so much. 1 hour is fast!

Hi Remkat, thanks for the encouragement. Glad the lag wasn't too bad. It seems to vary a lot, which is probably to do with the AWS hosting solution.

Thanks for the feedback, it's definitely useful :) I'm trying to fix some things at the moment, so Pinata may go down a few times.

Yeah, sorry, there may be some service disruption at the moment as I attempt to fix things.

That's strange, it must be a bug. It's meant to restart after a few seconds. If you were to refresh the page it would probably work. I'll examine the server logs and see if I can reproduce the problem locally.

As for the multiplayer aspect, when I launched this game I expected more people would be drawn in due to the prospect of winning money (even though it's not much), so the map is designed for multiple players. I imagined that once all the gems were gone, people would go after the trophy, which would involve colliding with each other to erode the surrounding wall. I hoped the conflict between whether to cooperate or betray others would lead to interesting gameplay dynamics. As a single player game, it's a bit boring.

I'll be making a lot of changes in the coming weeks though. You'll notice I've already got rid of the ads. I'm going to get an artist to redo the graphics, and I'll add lots of new items like dynamite, doors, keys, levers, moving platforms, etc. There'll probably be a leaderboard too.

Hi, Remkat. Thanks for your feedback.

The lag you're experiencing is probably due to the game being hosted in London. That does sound a bit worse than I expected though. I've noticed it seems to vary a lot, so you might want to try again later. Eventually, I may host the game in multiple locations, and have players automatically join the closest server. There also might be some tricks I can do to hide the latency.

The game is still a work in progress. It was initially just an experiment to test the viability of Pinata, which was going to be an ad platform, but I have new plans for it now. Instead, I'm going to focus more on the virtual currency aspect.

As for Terrestria, I'll soon be adding more features and hiring an artist to redo all the graphics, so it may change dramatically over the next few weeks.

Any luck with the tarball?

I just installed the .deb package on an Ubuntu 18 VM and couldn't reproduce the problem. Perhaps try the tarball.

What version of Ubuntu? Did you download the .deb or the tarball? And are you sure you haven't tampered with the data files at all?

Should look like this

Can you post a screenshot?

The mouse escaping the window problem has been fixed in the latest version.

Oh, cool, I didn't know there was an itch.io app. I'll download it and investigate the issue.

Thanks, I think I'll fix this by baking libtinyxml2-2v5 into the executable. In the meantime, you can try installing the deb from https://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/libtinyxml2-2v5.

I'm curious how you got your health that high

Thanks for the rating, BTW :)

Thanks :)

The minesweeper board was just to tell you which rooms within the maze were safe and which were not. A 'mine' corresponds to an unsafe room. You don't need to completely solve it, and there's no real point in doing so. The leader board at the end is completely fake - just a ploy to get your name :)

Yep, you're done :)

Ah, right, you're not at the bit I thought you were. Yeah, that's just for show - it's not really loading.

If you're referring to the bit I think you are, that's a genuine loading screen, so you actually do have to wait :) Let me know if it doesn't load, as that would be a bug. It shouldn't take longer than 20 seconds or so (prob much less)

Hi :) So the clue effectively reads "Danger, infinity". How do you get infinity on a calculator?

Edited your comment to remove spoiler

You're looking for something that looks like a username and something that looks like a password. It sounds like you're there already :)

Thanks! :)

Is it still 10 after closing and reopening the app?

Hi! You might want to inspect the About dialog...

Double-click the msi file to install the game. It should create a new Pro Office Calculator desktop icon. Hope that helps :)

Hi! The msi file should install the game on your computer. You should have a new desktop icon.

It's been 14 months in the making, and 26000 lines of C++ code. Finally, I'm proud to announce my most ambitious project yet: Pro Office Calculator. The game features a Doom-style raycasting engine written specifically for this project. I've never worked so hard on anything in my life!

Needless to say, there is more to Pro Office Calculator than meets the eye. Look for subtle clues to unlock its secrets.

This game is rather niche, so won't appeal to everyone. It contains fairly challenging puzzles, some of which will require a pencil and paper.

Here's a hint to get you started: You might want to take a short break and come back to it.

And a one-word hint for the first real puzzle you encounter: Axioms.

I'm a little reluctant to provide screenshots as it may spoil the game's mystery, but here's one:

Thanks to anyone who gives it a go. I'll try to return the favour :)
