I felt like I was fighting the camera the whole time since it was constantly zooming in and out. Aesthetic is nice, but kind of takes too long with nothing happening.

I understand, the camera is definitely not up to snuff. It was my first time working with the new built-in cinemachine camera system in unity though so it's a learning curve for sure! As a survival game it is meant to be slower paced, but I completely agree that it takes too long. I initially intended for it to be able to be completed in around 10 minutes, but ended up making the map far too large for what made it into the submitted build. 

The idea of a fast-paced survival game for a jam does get the brain gears turning. I guess you always have to consider whether you’re making a game to do well in a jam, versus learning/exploring concepts.
