Nice game. I played it with a controller, with only keyboard it is not possible to grant death. The problem with the concept is that once we identified a soul, we must wait/follow it, and no ones like to wait.
I got some suggestion to circumvent this, just ideas:

  • Perhaps it could be interesting, to not tell how they suppose to die, but put several ways to die in the level, and the player must discover them and activate one to the soul required... and repeat (but the first way is no more usable)...
  • Perhaps what the death know is just the soul (not his human representation), and that soul could represent the soul main sin. Then if the human is  near you can see is soul (no button needed). A death in concordance to the sin can score more.
  • To fulfil a level you must get enough points. (so you must match a soul with the better way to kill it)

Hope it helps

Thanks so much for playing and for the great feedback. I feel bad about the keyboard controls (I think I might have accidentally broke them in my haste to submit). I do admit, it gets kinda old/boring just sitting and waiting. I didn't know how to balance that. I originally wanted to make more ways to grant death, have multiple copies of them around the town, and only have the targets travel between the only way they can die. But as with any jam, time is of the essence. I do like your suggestions and will take them into consideration for a 2.0 version if I decide to work on it further
