I think it is a good game and the fact that you didn't use any game engine is great however sadly highscores are based on luck due it being ossible to have a dot spawn inside you. But good idea for the theme yet lack of details.

Its true that luck plays a lot in the score you will get but I added the warnings to show the player that they should avoid going in that direction and try a find a other way or to risk it and move past the waring before the enemies spawn
Now I understand that I should have been more clear to the player about the enemies and also I used Godot as a game engine i just changed to start up loading part to have a more smooth transition to the main menu
