I found it more efficient to to stare at the mini-map and fire at the dots on there instead of looking at the actual zombies. It was straining and not as scary as staring at the dimly lit zombies coming at me. However, it is very cool to see all the red dots moving towards me when it turns to night. A solution might have been to hide all the red dots that come within a certain radius of you; you could still see where they are on the map, generally, but when they're near you, you're forced to look in the world.

I couldn't upgrade my base anymore once it cost 325 scrap (I did have enough scrap). I also couldn't pick anything up after dying and retrying (I had to restart the game).

The gun sounds were nice. The ambient sounds were very atmospheric, especially the crow that caws when it turns night.

The game has very good "game-feel". Its fun to walk around blasting zombies. Its scary when it turns night. Its fun to decide how far out I can go looting before its dark.
