You can choose the advanced start. It begins after the loan is cancelled. Or you can tried to play far enough that the loan is cancelled. Usually, only the first two installments need to be paid and they are pretty small. Four or five easy dungeons, two weeks of guild quests, and selling fish will do it. Other resources pay much more that fish but fish is immediately available with no investment. Having high charm on your MC will help at first, but later becomes less important. Other people will likely suggest other useful strategies.
