Four of them.
I've had the honor of seeing some of the process of your Pies thoughts developing over the past few months, and your dedication to building your own narrative around this team has been such a joy to witness. I've seen the both of you talk about the messy relationship that these four in particular have had quite a bit, and this zine-
It's an ending, of sorts, to that narrative, except not really, because so little is resolved between them, and so little can be resolved, now, and here at the end of the world all they can do is come to terms with that truth. It's not a fresh start for them, not really, because their baggage is still heavy between them and there's no room for fresh starts when the world is falling to pieces so quickly. But it's something; a shared moment between four people, a bittersweet reunion in death.
I love this zine. I love its simple, straightforward format. I love its clear use of color to indicate who is speaking, and the way that the first page establishes each voice. I love it's simplistic font, it's starry backdrop. It's a conversation in the void of the Hall- nothing more, nothing less, and I think that it's beautiful.
You guys did good with this one, y'all. This one's a banger.
