I'm not a patron, but I like the idea for your combat system. Layering actions makes a far more engaging system, particularly with buffs and debuffs. It does run the risk of simply overloading one character and giving them all the turn equity. I'm not sure how well the stances system will overlap with it though. I don't have much experience with Wuxia games if this is a common system though. A simple JRPG battle system is fine though if you end up going the way it looks like the poll is going.
As for the maps, outsourcing is a great idea if it's feasible. I have faith you're able to meaningfully improve the maps, but it's better to avoid needing to split your focus when another person can handle it.
