Not quite, Latin is a human "brutalization" of their language.
Kind of in the same way that Latin is to most modern languages today.
So is it, or not? I think they also mentioned Italian in a part.
So almost like a combination of the two languages?
An evolved, more modern form of Latin that resembles Italian at some point, if I recall correctly.
